Retirement conversations grounded in clarity, experience, and independence
Are you approaching retirement and unsure where you really stand?
Many people reach this stage of life with questions they haven’t had the space, or the right person, to talk through properly:
- Do I have enough to retire when I want to?
- What decisions should I be making now?
- What options do I realistically have?
Mind & Money offers structured, independent retirement conversations to help you understand your financial position and make informed decisions about the years ahead.
This is not financial product advice and not ongoing coaching. It is a focused, professional conversation designed to bring clarity.
What this offers
- A clear understanding of your current financial position
- Insight into retirement timing and lifestyle options
- Practical next steps based on your situation
- An independent perspective with no sales agenda

Retirement Conversations
A Retirement Conversation is a one-hour, personalised session focused on understanding where you are financially and what that means for your future.
In my experience, many people feel uneasy simply because they don’t fully understand their position. Even when the outlook isn’t ideal, having clarity allows you to make decisions rather than avoid them.
These conversations are designed to:
- Clarify what you have and how it’s working
- Explore realistic retirement timelines
- Understand trade-offs between work, lifestyle, and security
- Identify actions that can improve your position over time
For some people, this confirms they are on track.
For others, it highlights changes that would meaningfully improve their future.
Either way, it replaces uncertainty with information.
Hello!
I’m Liz, a Chartered Accountant, Financial Adviser, and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Mind & Money recognises that financial success is a complex interplay of upbringing, mindset, and lived experience. It is not necessarily a product of high income or rigid austerity. Behaviours such as comfort with risk and the ability to delay gratification, among others, impact our relationship with money.
My mission is to help you feel in control rather than feeling like money, or lack of, is controlling you and defining your future.
About Me
For over 13 years, I worked as a financial coach and mentor with enable.me, supporting hundreds of individuals and couples to:
- Reduce debt
- Pay off mortgages faster
- Build long-term financial security
- Create greater choice around work and retirement
For part of that time, I was also a business franchise owner, giving me direct experience of financial complexity, responsibility, and risk.
I bring a calm, direct, and honest approach to money conversations.
I don’t avoid difficult topics, but I approach them with care, respect, and clarity.
I work independently, with no commissions or incentives.
My role is to help you understand your situation — not to sell you a solution.

Who I Help
“Retirement is still a long way off.”
Early clarity creates more options later.“I’m expecting an inheritance.”
This is uncertain and often delayed or changed. It should not be the only plan.“I’m close to retirement — it’s too late.”
It is rarely too late to improve understanding and outcomes.“My finances feel messy or overwhelming.”
You don’t need everything organised — just a starting point.“My partner isn’t interested.”
This is common. There are still constructive ways forward, individually or together.Testimonials
Simon & Richard
“It’s hard to put into words just how much your support has meant to us over the years.
You’ve not only been our financial advisor but a life-changer. With your guidance, we became mortgage-free and financially liberated – something we once thought unachievable. You re-charted the course of our lives in ways we could never have imagined, and we’ll always be deeply grateful for the care, honesty, and wisdom you’ve brought to every step of the journey. We’ve valued the trust and connection we’ve shared – through personal highs and lows, professional changes, and everything in between.
More personally, we’ve had tears but also huge laughs along the way, and meeting you has truly been one of the great privileges in our lives”.
Richy & Rach
You’ve been absolutely amazing to us, and you’re the reason that we are now mortgage-free. We can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve taught us over the years. It wasn’t easy at times, but having your support was absolutely massive for us, as we could always see a light at the end of the tunnel, you really made all of that possible and we just can’t thank you enough
